Brad Blake

Brad is devoted to the growth and support of youth that have historically been under served in education and health services.  He loves to see youth reach new goals in their personal lives through education, vocational and professional training.  With his personal goals and the goals of a rising generation of success minded young adults, great heights can be reached. 

 

Brad has been a business and community leader for more than 30 years.  Having owned and operated four highly successful businesses has prepared him for managing projects that can support the educational goals of Escuela San Mateo with the goal of sustainable growth in mind.

 

Having been in the plumbing and mechanical business for decades and also owning a solar business, Brad has enjoyed being an entrepreneur.  With his background and experience in real estate construction and development Brad is uniquely qualified to manage construction projects for Escuela San Mateo. 

 

Brad also served as a La Plata County Commissioner which brings added experience in government, linked with planning and development of housing projects to reach the goals of Escuela San Mateo.

 

Brad Studied Business and Finance at Fort Lewis College before serving two years in the Canada Winnipeg Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  He then studied Business and Finance at Brigham Young University where he married his lifelong friend Janelle Kleinman Blake.

 

Janelle and Brad have been married for 40 years and have three married sons and seven grandchildren.  His family is his greatest interest and love.  Brad and Janelle have and will continue to call Durango Colorado their home.
